Perform a factory reset TCL Android TV 9 or later

Do the following to perform a factory reset on your TCL Android TV 9 or later
This guide applies to Android TV 9 or later. If your TCL TV is running Android TV 8, please use the guide for Android TV 8 by clicking here. 

1. From the Android TV home screen, select "settings" in the upper right corner with the remote.
   
   
   
   
2. Select "Device preferences" with the remote.
   
   
   
   
3. Scroll down and select "Reset" with the remote.
   
   
   
   
4. Select "Factory data reset" with the remote.
   
   
   
   
5. Select "Erase everything" with the remote.
   
   
   
   
6. When prompted for the password, use the remote to input 1234.
   
   
   
   
7. The TV will restart when the factory reset is completed, and you will see the initial setup screen.
